I'm so ready to leave school and get a job. Well, maybe not ready artistically, but there's nothing I want to do more than go out and work. I'm making lists of game companies I want to apply to and I'm incredibly nervous and excited at the same time.
I'm sitting here with assignments piling up and just LONGING to be done with them so I can just build up a portfolio.
I'm a little conflicted, because I don't quite know which would be better for me: working on things that I like-- things that will make my portfolio better, or working on what I'm supposed to work on-- things that I really have no interest in but will make my grades better. I have a lot of trouble balancing things that use TIME, so it's very much one way or the other.
Also I need a bigger desk, dammit.
Also also: I'm listening to the Scott Pilgrim soundtrack, wishing it would come out on DVD already. The more I think about it, the more I realize that I loved that movie and how much it resonated with me. It's like: if there ever was a movie I could use to show my kids a snapshot of our generation's adolescence, Scott Pilgrim fits it to a T.
Also also also: I'm just going to keep a 'New Post' page on my screen every day. My head is completely full of things to say, and then my the time I sit down to write it, it's all gone. Guess I have to trick myself into putting things out there.
Also^5: Photoshop CS5 is THE BEST
Here's a new style I'm sort of playing with in my sketch book.
